Fashion Realities
My name is Lilly and I´m a Fashion Student living in Berlin, Germany. My passion with fashion started at the age of 10 when I got to design my own figure skating dress. The little girl created a masterpiece of neon colors and rhinestones.
Now my style could be described with darker colors and clean lines. I currently study for a Bachelor in fashion management. My studies introduced me to a completely new viewpoint of the industry, which is why I created Fashion Realities.
I will introduce you to old glossies, editorials done solely by myself and the runways of Paris, New York, London and Milan. Get ready to read stories from a fashion obsessed girlie.
It's what makes me happy and creative. An industry with so many unique people, which creates art in so many different forms. The garment itself, the pictures and editorials from the photographers, the runway shows being performative art and let's not forget about the sketches and the seamstresses.
I adore this fact so much, that I can get creative with it. I can dress up however I want. I can write about it. I can learn about it. I can change something in it.
The history of fashion goes back to before Christ. Back in ancient Rome and ancient Egypt people were showcasing to what level of society they belonged. Fashion has changed so many times during these 2000 years and nowadays with a rapid speed. The trends come and a season later everybody is sick of it. I want to learn more about this phenomenon, because we are all a part of the “trend of trends”.
That's what fashion means to me. I'm sure the meaning will change over the years as I grow up, but for now I will invite you to read about my reasons.
